About ACM

The Asociación Carnavalesca de Massachusetts (ACM) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded around 2000 by Stelvyn Mirabal. Based in Lawrence, Massachusetts, ACM preserves and celebrates the rich carnival traditions of the Dominican Republic through public performances, cultural education, mask-making artistry, and community engagement. With 45+ active performers and a 25+ year legacy, ACM has performed at venues from the Lowell Folk Festival to the Massachusetts Governor's inauguration, bringing 500 years of Dominican folklore to life in New England.
